DOHP was very inspiring.
we had a great time of worship. then prayed for repentance and reconciliation with foreign workers in our land.
Representatives from China, Indonesia, Phillipines, Myanmar, India, Bangladesh, Thailand and Sri Lanka had their feet washed on stage after Singaporean pastors confessed mistreatment of their foreign counterparts and asked for forgiveness on behalf of our nation.
i realised i've taken foreign workers for granted. Singapore is so indebted to her foreign workers. They do a lot of dirty jobs which most of us would shun. Without them, our society and economy probably wouldn't work so efficiently.
i felt very humbled during the repentance part for the foreign workers. now i believe i'll be able to see them thru the loving eyes of Jesus more and more. if u also take them for granted, do repent and ask God for a heart to love them too =)
we also prayed for blessings upon our government. Ps Lawrence then shared wad God has spoken to him. the gist is abt Singapore entering into a 7year period leading up to Jubilee [Lev 25] on her 50th bday. whether the Jubilee year is one tat enables Singapore to bless her neighbours or a year of frustration is up to God's people.
will u commit to be a part of God's plan to bless other nations? i want to. Lord, show me how. i can do all things thru You who gives me strength!
