Corporate Prayer 28-March

Maybe I have been going for too many meetings already haha...but this was what came out of the blue when i was thinking about what corporate prayer is-

Prayer: Talking to God
Corporate Prayer: Board Meeting with God who runs the Family Business

God is like the CEO who has the power to decide what gets done and how. We are the children who have inherited the positions in the 'company', sitting in this meeting to present the needs that we have. Whenever a 'case' is presented, God the CEO will ask- "Who is in favour of this proposition?" And we will then vote to agree or disagree.

"Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them." Matthew 18:19-20

But we may ask ourselves, if God knows all things, He will already know what we need and hence there is no need for prayer. Yet, He still asks us to pray! Jesus' whole ministry was also saturated in prayer and just as an earthly father who wants his children to come to him with requests, our Father in Heaven also loves us to come to Him in prayer!

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your heart and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7

Hmm, how about unanswered prayers then? :( It is up to God to decide what the outcome is and we should trust in Him no matter what. :)
------
Anyway, here are the brief prayer pointers that we touched on for the last corporate prayer:

1. Salvation in the Arab nations
2. Malaysia's political situation
3. Mental well-being of Singaporean children and youth
4. Healing (we were given a slip of paper each that contains the specific prayer requests of the sick)

There was also a prophetic art painting session where some youths and adults painted the pictures that they have seen during a time of prayer before the service. A few came out to share what they painted, and what God has spoken to them. The overall theme was music and sounds.

Here are the pics of some of the paintings!

Right Kevin! I remember that too...anyway, during soaking at my other cell, God led me to this Psalm.

[Psalm 19:1-4 "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the end of the world."] and I thought about sounds, about the sounds we make and words we speak. They'll never disappear.

Sound waves are interesting....

Yups... I think the word released was that when we praise God and make sounds/music, the power of darkness flees!

Beautiful psalm there..thanks Pearl :)
